Georgetown Fire Department

Firefighting equipment and a round the clock call system are maintained by a well trained and dedicated volunteer core of firefighters. The headquarters for the Fire Department are located in the Civic Center.

A fire hydrant system is in place to provide extensive coverage throughout the town.
The Town is a member of a mutual aid fire fighting system with neighbouring municipalities.

 Firefighting equipment includes:

  • 2004 Sterling Metal Fab
  • 1050 pump, with 1200 gallon water Capacity
  • 1995 Dodge One Ton Quick Response with a 300 gallon capacity
  • 1990 Ford Pumper with 1200 gallon water capacity
  • One forestry Truck, owned by the Provincial Government, with a 1000 gallon water capacity.
